This design was inspired by a song from Shakespeare's comedy 'As You Like It'

It was a Lover and Lass,
With a hey and a ho and a hey nonino...

Sweet Lovers love the Spring.

A chorus of English songbirds in a coppiced tree, in a style which echoes that of Jacobean embroideries and the 'typeface' is copied from a 1714 edition of the play.

 

All my cards are designed by me in my studio and printed for me by a local small print business which is based in a nearby village.
